Julia Faye Glass, 90, a retired seamstress of Linden, died Jan. 24, 2018 at Hale County Hospital. She was born Oct. 8, 1927 in Marengo County to Jessie B. and Mable Augusta Luker.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught the Youth Sunday School Class for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Daphne (Kenneth) Stockman of Pine Hill; two sons, Dwain (Lyquinta) Glass of Linden and Ronnie (Darlene) Glass of Linden; brother, Charlie (Hilda) Luker of Tallassee; sister, Jenila (Ed) Stanley of Carrolton, Ga.; eight grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Cleveland Glass.

Funeral services were Jan. 26, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Pike Smith and the Rev. Robert Pearce Jr. officiating.

Burial followed at the Octagon Cemetery with O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Active pallbearers were Mike Stockman, Will Glass, Mitch Glass, Paul Glass, Christopher Glass, Mark Harris, Darrell Stokes and Frank McGilberry.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
